35 Degrees South Aquarium Restaurant and Bar in central Paihia is more than any Restaurant. We provide a unique dining and Bar experience for families over the water in Paihia with a central 60 000 litre Salt water Aquarium, filled with local fish species caught in the waters of The Bay of Islands.

Beautifully situated over the water in the heart of Paihia, with spectacular views of The Bay of Islands and daily activities. Seize the opportunity of watching a marlin being weighed, or sighting the day’s catch, while sipping on a drink on our decks.
35 Degrees South is aptly named for it’s latitudinal location and offers Dining inside our Restaurant around the Aquarium or Alfresco on open decks.
We sport a fully licensed bar, with premium beer, wine and spirits and superb cocktails.
Bring your children; we will keep them entertained, identifying the local fish in the Aquarium, all free of charge. While enjoying a special treat off their own Children’s menu. Activity bags are also available to keep them entertained.
We are the venue for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, or simply a coffee, light meal or leisurely drink. Yes we are open 7 days from 8am till late.
